| Having accumulated too much audio equipment and several DACs, I am selling a bespoke transformer coupled DAC. It used a Crystal chip CS8412-CP.rnThe XLR connectors are for convenience, it is NOT a balanced design.rnOnly 6 of these DACs were made (by hand) and when played against commercial DACs costing £8000 retail, the result was almost immeasurably close.rnThe casework is vintage aircraft quality plywood , so no hum issues caused by metal casework.rnOther vintage electronic parts are in the DAC. It sounds very analog and the quality will not degrade over time as it uses transformers.rnSize is a compact 33x23.5 and chassis height of 9.5 transformer height 16.rn£850 |
