| This is perhaps one of the earliest Sondeks around with serial number 2609; my understanding is it was likely manufactured in late 1973 early 1974. I purchased this from, I believe, the original buyer in Brighton in 1986 when it was fitted with a Fidelity Research FR54 and Ortofon SPU. It was upgraded with a new bearing and sub-platter in 1993 by Spaldings in Croydon. At the same time, a Valhalla was fitted, together with a (Michell branded) Rega RB300, new plinth, Nirvana kit, dustcover, and armboard.
