| I thought I was going to keep this phono stage forever but now I’m not playing vinyl I would like someone else to have the opportunity to enjoy it. It is just far too good to sit unused.
When first bought it had stock tubes which gave a very euphonic, romantic sound that was perfectly suited to classical music, but not the rock and pop I also enjoy where it sounded too soft. So I set about tube rolling and after much experimentation I settled on the following carefully sourced quartet -
