| This is an extremely quiet (inky black background even when volume set high) passive preamplifier which, to my ears, is slightly voiced towards the higher registers but also does all the frequency range superbly. Its outstanding clarity and faithfulness to the amplification to which it's paired is exemplary and, sad to say, it knocked the spots off my Townshend Allegri.
