| Metrum Musette, an excellent No-Oversampling, No-filtering DAC with a startlingly realistic and natural way with tone, especially string and brass (usually hard and unrealistic on most delta-sigma DACs). I have upgraded it from the original 16 bit Transient DAC1 modules to DAC2 modules, which double the DAC count to two per channel and allow it to process 24 bit data; it sounds more detailed and extended as a result. The Musette will come with the original DAC1 modules in a separate box since you may find you prefer the warmer sound in your system. |
